October

The fall equinox came and went and we are already in the second week of October. Time flies – Here are a few highlights of what has been going on in our family.

Lucy:
Lucy is now living up to her duties as a two-year-old. She loves to boss everyone and everything around. Lucy firmly believes in expressing emotions to the fullest extent possible and she does it quite well. She also loves to express herself through style – I think she was the only girl at the park wearing boots, a tiara and carrying a purse. Lucy is an unusually strong, tiny woman – Even Zero knows she is the boss (or at least thinks she is). Lucy is talking more everyday, she loves the word "again" and uses it in many of her sentences; "Do my piggies again!", "Sing night-night song again!" "wash hands again!" "upside down again!" "poop in potty again!"

Milo:
Milo is learning at full speed – a never ending fountain of questions and comments. His new found knowledge has opened up many opportunities – he Googled “Milo” and found a Disney movie, Atlantis, in which the main character is also named Milo. He adores any outdoor activity and is especially interested in art, flashlights and “the universe”. Milo is full of kindness… and mischief. He loves schedules and making plans for the day, discussing options concerning plans and schedules, and keeping track of time to make sure we are all on schedule. Milo loves to watch movies and PBS - we recently discussed the difference between reality and made up stories on tv - Milo is still getting over his disappointment.

Luke:
Luke is currently doing contract work involving several of his many skills while he waits for the perfect job to find him. In his spare time Luke sends out resumes and emails to various places - as of yet his demands to have a vegetarian fast food restaurant placed in Denver have been ignored. He really wants to open up a sandwich shop by day/bar by night – and the twist is (of course there’s a twist) that video games are set up to be played from the bar. If this plan doesn’t work out at least there are still website jobs out there somewhere. Luke is a constant model of kindness for all of us, from his family to co-workers, and now even the dog. That’s right ladies and gentlemen – Luke likes Zero and has even admitted it - out loud.

Sarah:
After almost 5 years of full time mom duties, Sarah is working part time as a designer at Firefly Furnishings. Thankfully our new living situation involves the happy addition of Charity and her family. She is a full time mommy and loves Milo and Lucy, loved them before they were born. Sarah’s school is cut back this semester – only 9 credit hours. Human Biology, Philosophy and Abnormal Psychology make up the majority of Sarah’s reading material. Additionally, Sarah is excited to be involved in a creative venture – joybells – with her sister Shannon. In her spare time Sarah hangs out with the fam, makes necklaces and crochets.

So that is the update for October. Hopefully I will have time to post another blog by the beginning of November – maybe with Halloween photos…
